The oceans, rivers, and lakes are under attack; plastic, climate change, and overfishing are putting our most important ecosystem at risk. The Blue Lab Preservation Society was founded to protect the world, focusing on creating positive impact that will help address climate change, ocean pollution, and environmental issues.
We’re a non-profit that draws leading minds from the world over to communicate, create, and carry out plans that tackle problems affecting the marine ecosystem, from pollution to sustainability to rising tides.
Led by Creative Director of HoneyLab, Ximena Caminos, The Blue Lab Preservation Society will act as an intellectual incubator and a conceptual lab that will result in the launch of a series of executable actions that will generate significant, noticeable change.
From the heart of South Beach, diverse thinkers from a plethora of fields will contribute throughout the year to the foundation’s mission by generating cross-disciplinary ideas and long-term, appropriate solutions to existing problems, ultimately protecting our world for generations to come.
The Blue Lab Preservation Society’s first project will focus on Lake Okeechobee, a waterbody that has become the repository of toxic waste from major surrounding cities. Our objective; to develop a plan that will recuperate the lake’s habitat, save the local fauna, and provide a healthy atmosphere for the local community.
