On the Edge: The Hopeful Forest

Site sensitiveCarlos Betancourt’s most recent artwork On the Edge: The Hopeful Forest will be exhibited during Miami Art Week in the main lobby of the East Hotel, Brickell.
These totemic sculptures continue to explore the artist’s fascination with found objects and the memories embedded in them, while also alluding to our personal attempts to balance and control our surroundings and experiences.
As with previous artworks by the artist, the sculptures are constructed from collected objects that have been repurposed and recycled.
What’s more, they also work in 2D, as coloring sketchbooks will be available on site to appease your sudden chromatic urge.
